An International Castle Wedding at Belleek Castle in Ireland

When Mark and Lina reached out and asked if I would be willing to travel to Ireland to photograph their wedding at a castle, my response was immediate and enthusiastic: yes. Some opportunities feel like a dream the moment they land in your inbox—and this was one of them.

A May Wedding Wrapped in Irish Magic

Their wedding took place in May of 2025 at the breathtaking Belleek Castle, a place that feels as though it was pulled straight from a storybook. The day was met with a soft, gentle rain that lingered throughout the celebration—one of those quiet, romantic drizzles that only adds to the atmosphere rather than takes away from it. True to Ireland’s reputation, the evening ended with a rainbow stretching across the sky, a moment that felt like a perfect blessing to close the day.

Candlelight Vows in the Heart of the Castle

Mark and Lina exchanged their vows by candlelight, surrounded by their closest friends and family. Candles flickered throughout the castle—from ceremony spaces to hallways—casting a warm, moody glow that transformed every corner into something intimate and timeless. The combination of historic stone walls, soft light, and heartfelt emotion created a vibe that was both deeply romantic and incredibly moving.

A Week of Celebration and Connection

One of the most special parts of this experience was the time leading up to the wedding. Mark and Lina thoughtfully planned several events for their guests, and my husband Jon and I were honored to be included. Touring the Jameson Whiskey Distillery and Guinness Storehouse together was such a fun way to connect, laugh, and celebrate before the big day. Those shared experiences made the wedding feel even more personal and meaningful.

A Photographer’s Dream Location

Belleek Castle is truly a photographer’s paradise. Everywhere you turn, there are stunning stone walls, winding staircases, and lush greenery climbing up the exterior of the castle. Each space feels rich with history and character, offering endless inspiration. From quiet, tucked-away corners to dramatic outdoor backdrops, the castle provided a perfect setting for telling Mark and Lina’s story.

A Wedding I’ll Never Forget

Being part of this international wedding was an unforgettable experience—one filled with beauty, connection, and a little bit of Irish magic. From the rain-soaked moments to the candlelit vows and the rainbow that closed the night, Mark and Lina’s wedding at Belleek Castle is one I will carry with me forever. It was truly magical to be there, and I’m so grateful they trusted me to document such an incredible chapter of their lives.
